Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami President Natan Obed shares with CBC’s Power & Politics the assurances the prime minister gave him about the Liberals’ major projects law in a meeting Thursday, saying Prime Minister Mark Carney was ‘unequivocal’ that C-5 will respect modern treaties — treaties which Obed says give Inuit the right to veto projects.
