What are the ITK Awards?
These awards recognize Inuit excellence and work to advance Inuit self-determination in Canada. The nomination period is open and anyone can nominate an Inuk doing exceptional work. Past recipients have been recognized for their efforts towards advancing youth, women, language and culture, health, elders, cultural repatriation, Inuit knowledge, and volunteerism.
One recipient will be chosen by an ITK Awards committee
Recipient will receive:
- Cash prize and gift
- Recognition by Inuit leadership
- Travel to awards presentation
Eligibility
Nominees must be:
- An Inuk enrolled under an Inuit Nunangat land claims agreement
- An Inuk doing exceptional work in a field to advance Inuit and Inuit self-determination
